Well, I guess I ought to show at least *something* LOL, though it's still not done. It's *supposed* to be a city at the beach, looking at it from the ocean's point of Vue. I haven't yet messed around with the atmosphere, though overall I'm fairly happy with the lighting and composition, but it still needs more, possibly a sidewalk, or maybe I'll reverse the camera, and get some ocean in there. gotta do something about that white strip, which is supposed to be sandy ground, but it's too wide and doesn't have enough plant life yet. I'm fairly happy with the "bulidings" though. :) --Mike

I like it! It doesn't look quite like a city because of how wide the buildings are--and how tall the plants are--but it's still cool and kind of mysterious looking. I'd like to see it with either a stone or brick texture, to make them look like walls instead of individual buildings... Mary

Mary, Thanks. :) Yeah, I know, the buildings don't exactly look realistic completely, but they weren't models, just functions. I probably ought to see what I can do about making them less wide and deeper, eh? I did actually try it with a stone texture and a few different brick textures, but I can't EVER seem to get that stuff to map right. :( One day, one day......LOL --Mike

Hi Mike! I like very much the buildings (big hotels on a tropical island?) and the seaside setting. I agree with Mary: it would be interesting to see how the bdngs look like with a brick texture! BTW I've been experiencing the same mapping problems with bricks! Is there anybody out there?...

heyas; wall to wall condos, huh? i think it looks cool so far :) the ground is backwards though, ainnit? i mean, the greenery and dunes would be towards the buildings, and the plain beach sand would be where we're standing. :)

Hey, don't blame it on ME. That's YOUR whole mountain material, after all! Well, I edited it a little. Truth be told, it looked alot better before I messed around with it! LOL! :P --Mike

Oh, seriously though, here in Florida we have alot of places like this. St. Augustine (The U.S.'s oldest city) has alot of this fake beach stuff surrounding the resort hotels and all, well beyond the REAL beach. :)

wellll.... but its not my fault that your city planners built their city on the sea level instead of inland on the mountain part of the whole mountain. ;D btw, i have some flood insurance to sell them...
