I've been using Poser for about 6 months, and just realized yesterday that I can import 3DS files into Poser 5. My question is why are there no seperate body parts on the files, it's just one mesh with no seperate arm, legs, etc. Poser treats them like a prop instead of a figure. In short, how do I pose a 3DS file, and what are the considerations for animation in particular. I'm using the Star Wars 3Ds files found at Sci-Fi 3D, and would like to animate Jabba the Hutt.
Do I need to "rig" these models, or convert them to OBJ? Forgive my ignorance, I have no knowledge concerning modeling.
Thanks guys,
E.L.
