Hiya, I was thinking about asking CL to add the option to save Poser6 files in the old P5 format (since P6 breaks most import options). Opinions? Do you think it would even be do-able? Cheers, Bonzai Gopher

I would be happy with a scene archive format. For which all geometries, morphs, and texture maps woudl be saved. That way if I want to revist a scene in Poser 7.2.9b98 I don't have to look for hookhand.obj or deletethisjpegwhendone.jpg! And yes I know there is a python script for this but unfortunately I have a mac and the python script calls tkinter. (Like 99.798% of all the Python scripts for Poser) (90% of all statistics are made up on the spot ;)

Does the P6 "Gather Files" script call tkinter? I thought the scrips that shipped with P6 were sopposed to only call Poser UI widgets. Actually is really is already do-able. Just turn External Morphs off. P5 will complain but it will open the file minus the new P6 goodies. Danger: If you resave from P5 all the P6 goodies will be lost. Actually I've already turned off the External Morphs...the reason I'm asking about a "Save As P5" option is that I use Carrara with Transposer2 to import Poser models. The changes in format have broken Transposer (at least until the SDK is made available). That means that there's something else goin on in the P6 files... :) Cheers, Bonzai Gopher

You could open the files in 5 and save them again. Be swatting a fly with a mallet but it should work.
