At last our first P6 item an intergalactic commander for James and for Mike 3...you don't need poser 6 to use the Mike 3 version BTW ;o).........I have loads more to update so check back tomorow, been a few problems with local exchange so connections have been very hit and miss, but ok now fingers crossed :o)...........Steve

I don't have Poser 6 and don't use M3 much, but I must admit I like the look of James. He looks more like an average person than M3. Maybe it's the poses you used for the two of them :) Just curious Steve (no pun intended btw!)....how do the Poser 6 characters stack up? I wonder if Cubed designed them.

Was wondering how you were going with your Poser 6 learning curve. Keeping up the earlier version support helps those of us who can't afford a new PC to cope with the demands of P5/6.Thanks Steve

Look great! Are you going to do a David and M2 version too?

That looks like a good outfit for a lot of scenarios once textured... and James does look good in it. ;)

Thanks, the pose on M3 from the store here but the James one is a default, the odd thing with him is when you add him to poser he doesn't look that great, but he renders real well, i don't think they'll take over from the DAZ figures but they will make a good alternative......David is almost done, Steph 3 a bit closer and Vicky 3 version is up..(BTW they all have morphs to change the collar rank now) wasn't planning an M2 version though i was thinking with M3 being free now if i stick to the Stage 3 figures and occasionally do an M2 or James version i should have most bases covered, but i'm open to shouts of thats not fair :o).....Thanks Carolly, i did think about alternate textures but my imagination was capoot LOL so stuck with the requested colours, i'll bet Lyrra has some ideas though ;o)..........Steve

Some of us prefer the shape of M2 and V2 over the supposed improved versions. Who started the use of 5-pointed stars as indicia for rank? British? Carolly

Steve, I think that if you don't make clothes for James, nobody will ... And since everyone who owns Poser 6 has him in their runtime, you can't go wrong by supporting him :o) Elaine

Ack... don't make Steve feel like he's on the lonely road to Mt Doom! ;^) Since James is new, there is lot of need: business & casual clothes, fantasy wizard & fighter clothes, scifi and military clothes, authentic period and ethnic clothes, etc. and etc.. Enough to keep all of the modelers and texturers busy! Carolly

I don't think it was us Carolly, i can't think of a military uniform we have that uses them, RAF and RN use bands on the arms or Shldrs and army use Pips and crowns with the odd sword thrown in when you get to General....if you read "The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown." i think it mentions it in there, something to do with nature worship maybe? been a while since i read it :o)........On the subject of other figures, i promise i'll try to vary things but as i'm sure you can guess its become a nightmare LOL......Steve

Me? Read something like the Da Vinci code? If I want fantasy, it will be genuine fantasy. :roll eyes: So, no stars. I don't think it has anything to do with nature worship... if it was a US invention. Stars can be seen with other numbers of points, or even as orbs, but are probably appropriate for space commanders. Easier to add another pip than to change color or embroidery upon promotion. And, yes, clothing everybody is getting interesting. A range of figure types will give us more realism in complex scenes... even in a modeling agency not everybody will fall into the same phenotype. Dynamic clothes may be the way to go after enough people get comfortable draping them to fit. Meanwhile... Sheets! Dynamically covering everything, except for when the wind blows. Furs!! Nice dynamic furs with dangly bits and a lived-in rumpled look. (One size fits all, especially if it was a mastoden skin) Carolly the Oh-So-Helpful
