Subject: Paint Shop Pro wants to open .pz3 files.

HelpI am stuck. For some reason when I go to the IE folder, it wants to open the .pz3 files in Paint Shop Pro. I can access the files from Poser but isnt there a place to assign what file types are to be opened with what program? The conventional way of right clicking on the file and clicking Open file with does not work. My Poser program is not on the C drive. Would this make a difference? Any help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

The drive shouldn't make any difference. When I follow the 'Open with' trail on my computer, it gives the chance to use programs on the CD drive or even on the web.... Are you seeing the part that says something like "Choose from List or Browse" ?

Thank you for your reply, Ockham. Yes I do see that..but my Poser is not on the list, and when I go to my other drive to find it, and then do and click on it, it still tries to open it with PSP. When I go into Poser, however, I can access and open the .pz3 files with no problem. Thanks.

Highlight the file and then hold down shift and right click it. You should have the option showing "Open with" You can also go into PSP, File, Preferences, File Format Preferences and unassociate the file extension in there.

My Computer / Tools / Folder Options / File type.

You should be in a place like the picture above.
Go down looking in the left colum for file extension PZ3.
Only Poser application should be there ...

Mine has associated pz3's with Vue for some reason, and it won't let me change the association to Poser

Thank you so very much, MarcioAB. This helped very much. I had to delete the old one and add a new .pz3 file..worked beautifully. Thank you all for your replys and suggestions. Thanks again Marcio!
