I recommend textures by Ilona, Morris or StefyZZ for great multi purpose textures. All of them have a totally different approach to texturing but all produce superb results. For Morphs, I suggest you play around with the dials until you find something you like. The point is that where a texture may be just what you need for realism, the morphs may not be suitable for the image you want to portray.

Difficult question. I've got some personal favorites, but it all depends on the type of character I want to portray. A sweet young woman in a fantasy setting or in a sci-fi setting or in a glamour setting or in a simple day-to-day setting, I'd probably use the same character for those. And I'd use another character for an arrogant aristocratic woman in whatever setting, and yet another for a "tough bitch" type woman... I always look at the faces. Body types are often interchangeable - or if I use clothing that isn't loaded with morphs, I just revert to the default unmorphed V3 body. It's the face that makes the character IMO. You hardly can go wrong when it comes to texture quality, most of the commercial ones are very good, and some are excellent. When it comes to realism for closeup renders, check out the P5 shader compatibility. Most characters in the marketplace are designed for Poser 4/Poser Pro Pack and do not take advantage of the Poser 5 shaders. Some do, and those characters are better for realism than the P4/PP only characters. You might want to take a look at the galleries by richardson, templargfx, face_off and RGUS for impressions of what the P5 shaders can do for realistic skin. Hope this helps.

RNKarenER's Sheryl is a good example of this. Al

Thanks so much for the merchant names. I almost always use my own morphs for head and body so I usually don't even look at the body structure itself. The facial texture is what catches my eye most and the morphs are just an added bonus if they are "exactly what I am looking for". But how often does that happen?? LOL! svdl said "When it comes to realism for closeup renders, check out the P5 shader compatibility." I did not know this! It is true that you learn something new everyday. That is great to know as I have had a lot of trouble in the realism area. Thanks so much! Am going to go browsing now! Tammy :)))

Hi everyone! I'm looking for an all purpose character for V3. I want the character to be great for realism, scifi, fantasy and pretty much anything, renders. Do any of you have a preference or personal opinion on the best here at RR or somewhere else?? BTW this has to be for commercial use, no freebies plz :) Thanks Tammy
