Despite popular belief, the Canadian parliment has yet to pass a pending law to allow private individuals to grow grass. This, however, has not stopped the proliferation of what is known as 'Grow Ops' from springing up across Canada. Here in Quebec, private Grow Ops produce over 3 million tons of grass per year and has equal Mexico and Jamaica in the illegal grass exportation to the US. Interestingly, possession of small amounts of grass for personal use is no longer a crime in Canada. But if Ornlu has free grass, you should ask him. I don't know how much grass goes for anymore. Not since college anyway.

For the background. Create a terrain (or duplicate an existing terrain). It should be at 2048x2048 size. Create the basic terrain that you want if you dont have one already, and duplicate it (you've already done this if you had one to begin with). At this stage, you should have two terrains that are the same shape and position. Choose one and move it 0.2 bryce units up so that it is slightly above the one below it. Select the lower terrain and enter the terraine editor. Drag the "spikes" button slightly to get some small spikes. Then drag the "basic noise" slider to get quite a bit of noise. Apply a green or grassy material to this terrain, and you should see grass poking out of the top terrain. To vary the density of the grass, move the terrains closer together or futher apart. Tada! For the closer grass, use bantam or some other meshes.
Man this kid, is just full of techniques. Great solution Madmax. I'd buy you a round if we ever meet.

oh yeah..that's right..it's been going in and out. You could try using 'the Wayback machine' (why is it I always recommend this site when I don't have access to the URL?..;) website to try to bring up an older version. Do a google, or someone will likely be by and 'clean up' after my posting..;)
