There is this one duck that refuses to be scared off. He will come right up to our cats when they feed and help himself. The cats don't mess with him, I think they're friends. I would mind so much if he and his cohorts didn't use our front walkway as a bathroom. Here he is with our three cats, enjoying a morning meal.

Yeah, right, a likely story - tell the truth, you're fattening him up for a nice meal one day.... the cats are just to give him a false sense of security, aren't they?!? I've met your type before..... (",)

Tis a poor cat that can't share his breakfast :) Yerp ducks are very messy - I won't go further with that.

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

hehehe... wonder what they talk about over breakfast? :]

They probably ask the duck to go out and make friends with some canaries. Say "cmon...bring some little feathered friends for breakfast".

there's ducks like that in town at the park... just the way they are... kinda ugly in a cute way :]

Oh my! now that's something! I wouldn't have thought the cats were very happy about him, but they sure don't seem to mind.

It is a Muscogee duck Sheila, and they range from ugly to horribly ugly. The ones near us are real pains...always wanting food, pooping all over the place, and generally being jerks. So yes Mike, I am fattening him up. Smoked Muscogee is quite expensive over at the local specialty grocery. ;o]
