Subject: How do I add clothing?

I am a gaming student at Camden County college. We are using poser to make some of our characters. I can make a character and understand how to do hair, mats, textures etc. But when I try to add clothing I am lost. First off, when I load a downloaded piece of clothing from the figures menu it deletes my character. I understand you have to parent the piece of clothing, but I can't even get it in. I have tried importing but I get nothing to choose from. Also when I try to use a piece of clothing that is a mat and double click on it nothing happens. Only the catsuit thing works. anyhelp or tutorials whould be great, Thanks.

Mat poses only work on existing clothing. So after you add your clothes (click the double checkmarks, go up to the top menu and conform to your figure) then apply the MAT pose to the clothes. The Catsuit works becuase it is a second skin and doesn't need additionl clothing.
