Subject: Deleting orphan vertices

Does Blender have a means of deleting orphan vertices? My working hypothesis as to why my poser prop won't drape is that somewhere I've left one or more vertex with a single edge attached to it. Do I have any way of finding these other than by (painful) inspection?

It should be scriptable. I suggest that you try asking over at Elysium (see link), as they have a forum there specifically for Blender Python.
