Subject: Would you be interested in this?

Francemi ( ) posted Fri, 15 April 2005 at 12:35 PM · edited Tue, 11 February 2025 at 9:53 PM

I am tired today and cannot concentrate so I decided to play with PSP for a while and I am applying effects to some of the background photos I offer on my website and here in the freestuff section. I would like to know if it would be worth uploading those modified images also?

This is a sample at 800x600 but the images I would upload would be 1024x768.

could make a very cool underwater scene! Nice job, what effect did you use or is it a plug in like eye candy or something?

Francemi ( ) posted Fri, 15 April 2005 at 1:03 PM

It is a mix of internal and external effects in fact as I am trying everything and stop when I'm satisfied. Among others: Dream Suite 2, Mystical Tint, Tone and Color, edge enhance (PSP effect), Photo Lab, etc.

Very cool, and If I could be talented enough to use it, I would. I definately think you should add it to your site. I LIKE it!

Thank you. When I am done playing, I'll upload those I will have created like this. ;o)

Cool, and a link to your site please, because although I too create backgrounds and stuff, sometimes, I am just plain lazy and use others smiles

Very nice! I'm given 2 impressions when I look at that. One being the bottom of a clear ocean with blue coral and the sun filtering through. The second of a blue planet with a setting sun in the distance (upper right). Most definitly add that to your site. It's lovely and inspiring.

Thanks Nance... I don't know what pieces you are talking about though. To all of you... I've made this picture and many others available on my website this morning. See new topic here. France

Anthony Appleyard is the member who makes all the great scuba gear (link is to his freestuff) - but there are not many underwater environments or backgrounds for his pieces. Was just thinking your new ones would compliment his nicely.

Thanks, I thought I'd seen his name somewhere but I didn't remember where. I'm glad some of you might find those pictures useful for underwater... I was not trying to achieve that at all, I was just having fun. lol France

Where are the other underwater pictures? I looked at this link and of underwater images, I only found the one that is shown above.

I don't pretend for them to be underwater images but if you mean the pictures the others here said were underwater images, you'll find them on my website, in the background images section, page 10. My website is http://www.jalberts.net/francemi/

English "divers" = French "des plongeurs". English "diverse", "various" = French "divers".

Francemi ( ) posted Sat, 16 April 2005 at 7:05 PM

Yes, I know. But I am French. ;o) And you didn't have the correct link. The link you had is for one of my albums at Photobucket where I store my images for the forums and such. Sorry to disappoint you but like I said before, I didn't even think of underwater when I uploaded those pictures.

hehe, I forgot that Quebec likes to consider themselves a country :P

I'm 1/2 French, living a couple provinces west of you. English is my first language though and I'm working on refreshing my french since I work in the french quarter where I live.

It's not really a matter of wanting to be considered a country. It is more that while I have nothing against Canada, I feel I am much more a Quoise than a Canadian. There are too many differences in our culture, our language, our traditions, even in our way of thinking. After browsing the net for 7 years and meeting different people on many forums (PrintMaster, PaintShopPro, now Poser), I realize that in many ways, there is a lot less difference between Quois and Americans than between Quois and English Canadians. I don't know why it's like that, but it sure is. France

The name Quebec (an early spelling is Kebec) is not English or French but was the name of a Red Indian village.
