Subject: Looking for a drop spindle

Hi all:) Has anyone seen a drop spindle please? It is used for spinning wool. It would be nice if it had a bit of wool on it even. Thanks in advance Moonbow

Here is a picture I got from doing a google search. I guess I could use a cone shaped primative for wool and just texture it to look like wool. What do you think? Thank you for replying so quickly:) Moonbow

Is that the style you want? I can provide reference pics of a cruxiform type.

And with a little wool, which might help give ideas on the other type as well. I'm not very good, and was in a hurry besides, but maybe it gives some idea to the texture as the you wrap the wool up around the spindle?

uh..the spindle's no problem, but the *thread*..should probably leave that to the experts..;) here's the spindles, with and without 'thread'..if you want 'em, IM me with an email addy..;)

Thank you FyreSpiryt and pakled:) I have never used a cruxiform type, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. How did you do the yarn? It looks good:) Is there a way to add more yarn to it off the top so I could actually put it in someone's hand and make it look like they are spinning with it?
