Jimry, they used to hold this down by the Pioneer Musium, but this is on a hill. Where did they move the show to?

hello jimry i know people who have mercedes cars for weddings. they use different churches in our area for the background, something to do with it being easier for the customers to imagine them outside their church on the big day.

cryptojoe, I'm in UK...this is a car I stumbled across in the car park today on our walk....he was showing it off to the public for more trade and I got chatting to him as he noticed my cam..!!.he wants a nice backdrop to show off the car for his website, brochures etc and wants me to shoot it :)

I would say find a street with some older buildings and pick a spot where there is not much clutter. Try some angles. You could also find a more deserted road that has a fence running along it.Try for the perspective shot of fence disappearing and the angled view of car.

Simon, 20 miles West of London...given me time to think, maybe a stately building or under a blossom tree? Guess I need good contrast bg colours too. Doug, yes, be a good chance to test out the Canon 17-40 wide angle...yep, I changed it from the Sigma 15-30!!!

i wouldn't want anything in the backdrop to take away from the car. i'm thinking all the focus should be on the car and whatever's in the the background shouldn't be too grandeur. still, you want it to be impressive. i think the backdrop should be a spectacular scenic view...some fabulous mountains? blossoms would be good too. just my 2 cents. :) huge congrats, JimbO!!!!!!

This is one I posted a while back, it was a sneaky shot at a wedding in the Scottish borders, and the location was a heritage home. OK its not perfect and there was no time to set up the shot, but something like this if set up right could work for you (maybe!)
