"What 3D Program Should I buy?" Not one person here can really tell you what's best for you, as everyone has their own taste in workflow. Try the demo or learning edition of the program you're interested in, this is the only way to find out which programs you like.
I'd suggest trying the demos for Silo orMax. Also look at the learning editions of XSI, Maya and Lightwave. Not one person here can really tell you what's best for you, as everyone has their own taste in workflow. If you decide you don't need all the features of those higher end apps or if Silo doesn't cut it for you, try WINGS3D, or Blender. Both are great programs for new Users.

The thread linked here might give you some insight. Good Luck Tom“The fact that no one understands you…Doesn’t make you an artist.”
Rhino is quite easy to use, and extremely capable for building the meshes. you would then need uv mapper, and a 2d paint app to make texture maps. ( poser 4 campatability ) check all the apps, see which fits you best then use it. the more features the steeper the learning curve. ( Max, Maya, Softimage XSI, C4D )
WINGS3D, or Blender. Both are great Free programs for new Users. And for not so conservative seasoned users.) as tylon said

www.rhino3d.com it's actually called Rhinoceros 3d but we all call it Rhino for short.I use bryce 5. someone give me his for he really wish something to design websites and bryce was not it for him. It do render slow I do not know about the other programs. And what I read in the bryce forum they all saying the same it render too slow even the new bryce 5.5. I do have pose4 so I out in poser. I do not have the money to buy other progams and I did look in the freeware 3d programs all of them looks like kids programs. and some of them even jam up my computor . Plus I had to go in manuly on some to delete the progams.[no uninstall lol]
I just say what I had to go though. wish I had the money to buy a better program. I do surreal art.
The freeware programs you find useing google ;like 3d canves, and many more. may be I did not spent the time to learn them. plus i saw I could not import into bryce or just did not know how

Id appreciate any info: Looking at getting my first 3d design program. I want to be able to build clothing, props, etc for poser. I have experience with VUE and poser but I have no experience with actual 3d object building/design. Price is not an object, learning curve is. What do you suggest?
