I didn't realize advertising a new group was against TOS either...I think I helped mislead you and I apologize for that. I see your club as an interesting alternative to what we see in abundance on the galleries. There is so much focus on science fiction and fantasy here, that I thought that your alternative focus is an interesting one, and another creative outlet. Live and learn and move on, as you said. Do be patient with the club. It takes time to build a successful one. The hardest part is getting people to join, participate, and stay. It takes a willingness to slow down a bit. Just like modeling. I never could learn to model. I wanted to be able to build something amazing NOW, and, as a result, I never got beyond a cube. Take care.
dialyn - TRY WINGS 3D - I'm learning on it now - and after you follow the tutorial in the manual it's a snap! Wings 3d is free to - and it cranks out .obj , 3ds, and DXF - wich is compatible with both Poser AND Bryce. at first the interface is weird looking - it flipped ME out at first - but once you follow the ops manual tutorials - you actually realize that in some ways it's got the High Dollar progs beat - because it's sufficiently effective - yet vastly easier and more user friendly to use and learn! Also - I'm gonna give it time.Nobodie's done any images yet - but I'm sure - sooner or later - the group's gonna be getting some nice gallery content. Here's hoping...
Actually the cube was done in Wings. :/ I'm really the biggest techno ninny you'll ever meet. :) Remember, some of us take longer to create an image than others, especially if the subject matter is new to us. And people tend to join in after the first one is posted, and they get more comfortable about what is going on.

Being a human being is at best a trial and error proposition... You do dumb things - you get burned - and then you learn that it's a no no to lean on over the stove wearing loose clothing while frieing a hamburger - then POOF! - it happens, and the nieghborhood kids are pointing at you while your running down the street flailing your arms around and screaming - and saying things like "Look at the burning idiot", or, "Mommy - look over there at that man playing with fire!" . Well- I have now been conditioned by virtue of my own foul up to be more meticulous about scrutinizing the TOS...moving on - I have been trying a few new things lately, some of which involves a spatula, a viking helmet, and an inflatable mini pool filled with macaroni and cheese - but - that's my personal love life - and I won't get into that here, LOL :) (Just Kidding...) Anyway - I've been learning Wings 3D and finding stuff for my game worlds project - and to relieve my burn out factor with that - I have combined my re-kindled interest in exploring the weirder side of reality - with my facination at seeing and testing / experimenting with the diverse creativity of others into the Mystery Modellers Club. If the club is a smash success - I can stand back and say HEY! - I DID THAT,WOW!...And if it peters out and flops - I can say "Well - I gave it a shot - it was something productive to try - and I explored it." Either way - at least I tried - and maybe I learned few things. Trial and error...
