a yard.

0.080 PNU to 3 DP
Yes.
If you know the distance between the lines you can position things (according to your choice of scale) approximately without looking at the dial value.

Manual says "One Poser Native unit is the equivalent of 8.6 feet, or 262.128 centimeters" But what the heck does Manual know? His brother Pascual is no help either!

Poser 12: Inches (Poser(PC) user since 1 and the floppies/manual to prove it!)

"What is the difference between lines?" What do you mean? African or European lines? BTW: "Spamalot" is doing great on Broadway, I wish I still lived on the east coast :(

I was told there would be no math on the quiz. (However, I secretly DO want to know why I need to know about poser units and how many inches/cm they equal) ::::: Opera :::::

thixen ( ) posted Mon, 18 April 2005 at 3:49 PM

wonders if anyone knows the question to his answer

Bobasaur ( ) posted Mon, 18 April 2005 at 3:49 PM · edited Mon, 18 April 2005 at 3:51 PM

Empty space.

Unless it's occupied.

In which case it's Iraq.

[I know, I know. I should be spanked for that! I'll be sure and tell my wife when I get home.]

Anyone know how to figure out the area of a country in Poser units?

No one has the correct answer ... yet. ;=[ Here's a hint: What is the "default" Poser GROUND in Poser6? ... ... when you first start Poser. (using the "Factory" settings <--- hint, hint) Oops, that was 2 hints, wasn't it ... oh well, I don't want to edit this post ... so I won't ;=] cheers, dr geep ;=]

Geep, maybe I changed them at some point, but my default settings are set to "feet", which seems to make ericwiz's original answer of a "yard" (3 feet) per square accurate. Again, I probably changed it from the factory state somewhere along the way and forgot I did it. LOL. ;-)

The ground in P6 is roughly 6.4 PNU across. There are 20 facets across so it is about .32 PNU or 2-3/4 feet or about 84 cm. Nerd3D

Well I'm home now so I could get a little more scientific. I created 3 boxes at their standard size. Assuming they are 1 preferred unit in size when created and that I can fit 3.2 boxes along a side and that the prferred default is feet I would say it the distance is 3.2 feet.

NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! Tremble in fear, for the Comfy Chair awaits you. Just distracting attention from the fact that I didn't notice the Ground Plane was scaled when I looked at the vertex coordinates.

jwhitham ( ) posted Tue, 19 April 2005 at 4:06 PM

"I would say 1 meter."

That'll get you nowhere if it's a shubbery you're after. BTW, what's your favourite colour?

Robo2010 ( ) posted Tue, 19 April 2005 at 5:11 PM

"That'll get you nowhere if it's a shubbery you're after. BTW, what's your favourite colour? " Wow...what how rude of you. I answered and realized after someone already answered. With a statement like that, feels like your in for a conflict? People like you should not be here. My favourite colour? I guess it is red. I am seeing red, violent, bloody, danger.

jwhitham ( ) posted Tue, 19 April 2005 at 5:56 PM

I was assuming that you understood the jokes in the rest of the thread, I see you don't, so many apologies. P.S. If I were you I'd cut back on the steroids.

Eh? I thought Nerd's last answer was: ni! Are the two synonomous?

Bobasaur ( ) posted Tue, 19 April 2005 at 7:36 PM

Actually, "ni" is the Japanese word for "two." I'm not sure if any of the Monty Python bunch knew that when they wrote that sketch.
