haha... had to climb up on my desk to take the picture cuz it's on top of some wall shelving & toooooo heavy to move... dirty up there too! :]

Fantastic pic, Cindy! You believe i actually learned how to type on one of these!!?? well, not this brand...but yeah, i learned how to type in high school on a MANUAL typewriter!!! LMAO!!! man i'm old!!!! :)

me too Sheila... me too... & i still don't type the way i was taught... :] hehe... remember before white-out & correction ribbon??? those little pieces of paper you'd stick in there to type over it then you'd get all the white powder stuck on the keys which crossed every now & then, that you'd have to stick your finger in there & uncross them & if you were typing a term paper it took you alllllllll night to do it with a big trashcan of scrunched up paper to show for your effort??? kids don't know how good they got it with PC Word!! :P this one's an antique... an Underwood... i picked it up at a thrift store for 10$!! :]

LOL! oh yeah....i remember alright!!!!! LMAO!!! oh man... and don't forget the carbon paper!!!!!! so you make a mistake and you're typing let's say 3 carbon copies...OMG...what a PAIN in the BUTT to correct them all!!!!! these memories make ME feel like an ANTIQUE!!!!

Hey CYN! Here's a idea for later...(If ya ever GET A CHANCE TO LUG THAT DOWN OFF THE SHELF) Get a shot of the metal "TYPE HAMMERS?" or (What ever they are called) SPELLIN out "CYNLEE" THAT would be COOOOL MACRO KINDA THANG!!!! BTW..Those THIFT store are GREAT place to find stuff to photograph for CHEAP!!!!

Yea, I too learnt to type on manual type writer and I remember the 'lil pieces of paper with white powder that we used as blanco corrector and stuff!!! LOL!! I used to love it though! ;)

Cyn's is the VERY coolest but mine is red! Red was my Grandmother's favorite color. She had everything from red carpet, red lamps, red fabric on her furniture to the red typwriter which I later inherited. I didn't realize I had the "Miss Secretary" manual too until I dug it out for the Scavenger Hunt.
