Thanks ysvry. And thanks Sandy for the intro. Great to be here officially now :D Working on some stuff to get things going, and hopefully soon we'll have a gallery, as well :D Nick

Hello vclaszlo! I just downloaded Blender3d last night. will you be able to give us technical advice, or you just her to keep us in line? This is great timing for me. I had downloaded blender years ago and it was way way too technical for me to grasp. There was no user interface to speak of, just lots of programming. The newest release appears to be more than a thousand percent better in everyway. I am puzzled however when I started the first time I was told there was no Python installed on my computer. But it is there. A very old version, 1999. but it is there. Immediately I got the newest Python release, and it is very much improved(user friendly}. I installed that, checked all the .dll versions as suggested, reinstalled Blender and it still does not locate the Python. The program itself contains Python scripts which it can run. Do I need to do something else, or is it playtime? New toys are hard to resist. vclaszlo, what should I do?

Thank you for the link, haloedrain, I am going to do that right now.

Hello 6T6 I'll try to help where I can, but I'm by no means the most technical guy :D I started using Blender when the program still fit on a floppy, lol. But admit it's been a little while since I used it regularly. I have long been wanting to see a Blender Forum and gallery here on Renderosity, and now have the best reasons to get full-on back into the program :D Basically I'm learning alot, too. We have some good members in here that have answers where I don't, and I think altogether this is going to be a great place to be :D And thanks haloedrain for the link :D Nick
