Subject: The TOS is fine... CAN WE PLEASE STOP DISCUSSING IT TO DEATH?

ghelmer ( ) posted Mon, 25 April 2005 at 2:48 PM

"I'll back their freedom to do so 100%." Good for you.... so will I. It's just the TOS is done... it aint changing (as far as we know) and WHAT'S THE POINT of discussing that particular issue??? Anything else is fair game but the TOS is going nowhere when discussed... this thread is a perfect example of that!!!

So a thread was derailed? Thats what that little wheel in the middle of your mouse is for, skimming by remarks you don't care to read.

thixen ( ) posted Mon, 25 April 2005 at 2:51 PM

Ohh good a nail removes "Keep it civil" sign and replaces it with "Free Beer and chili sign" another connection problem?

thixen ( ) posted Mon, 25 April 2005 at 2:55 PM

"Thats what that little wheel in the middle of your mouse is for, skimming by remarks you don't care to read." Hey no fair my mouse doesn't have a wheel. I'd like to ask you all to please refrain from speaking of mouse wheels and mouse balls. As mine is a cheap optical mouse with out a wheel or balls of any sort, and topics such as 'how great my mouse is cause it has a wheel thingy in the middle that allows me to go WHEEEE!!!' makes him feel quite inadiquate and depressed. And do you know how much prozac for a computer mouse is?

ghelmer ( ) posted Mon, 25 April 2005 at 2:55 PM

I'm done... I'm not trying to infringe upon Spiritbro77's anything or anyones for that matter... The point of this was missed or lost and I'm tired of repeating myself... Gonna go and enjoy my afternoon... Wonderful day for a day off!!! Thanks all!! Gerard

If you really want the discussion of the TOS (or anything else) to die down, stop talking about it yourself. Don't respond when they bring it up. And definitely do not post threads telling people not to talk about it, because that will just rile them up again. (I suspect you've given the topic at least another week of life, by starting this thread.)

Eventually, this will die down, like all the others. Or more likely, something else will come along, and everyone will get riled up about a different subject.

Spiritbro77 ( ) posted Mon, 25 April 2005 at 2:56 PM

"It's just the TOS is done... it aint changing (as far as we know) and WHAT'S THE POINT of discussing that particular issue??? Anything else is fair game but the TOS is going nowhere when discussed... this thread is a perfect example of that!!! " You're probably right. There probably is no point in members arguing about the TOS. So what? My point is, who are you, (or I, or anyone else for that matter), to determine what should and shouldnt be discussed? Someone die and make you king without telling me?

Spiritbro77 ( ) posted Mon, 25 April 2005 at 2:59 PM

"My point is, who are you, (or I, or anyone else for that matter), to determine what should and shouldnt be discussed? Someone die and make you king without telling me?" I never demanded YOU or anyone stop talking about... it was merely a request, a suggestion (to keep the status quo-ing along happily) a hope to let it die down and I suppose I did add fuel to it's fire and I REALLY, REALLY appologise for that!! I never decreed that "Spiritbro77 MUST NEVER DISCUSS THE TOS AGAIN!!" did I? I'm just sick of it and this thread too!!! Later! G

Well, it might have to do with the fact that we here in America ARE boat rockers. It's what this country was founded on.If the pilgrims weren't boat rockers, they would have stayed in bloody England wouldn't they?

Ahem......there's irony to be found all over the place these days.

Somehow, I don't think that the Pilgrims would have gone along with our current concept of "boat rocking".........or with the implications.

thixen ( ) posted Mon, 25 April 2005 at 3:50 PM

"You'd think that they'd get tired of it. But for some reason, they never do. " Thats because Hamsters on a wheel don't realise that they aren't going anywhere. To them running 25 MPH on a wheel for an hour means they are 25 miles ahead of where they were. It's all very scientific. Hands Spirit a brew and a bowl of chili plenty to go around bro.

XENOPHONZ ( ) posted Mon, 25 April 2005 at 3:58 PM

At least we should connect an electric generator to the thread....uh.....to the hamster wheel. In that way, all of that expended energy (that's currently going to waste) could serve some sort of a practical purpose.

"Hands Spirit a brew and a bowl of chili* plenty to go around bro. " Thanks, the chilis good. Just the way I like it, hot and spicey. If you're not sweating, you're not eating. :)

XENOPHONZ ( ) posted Mon, 25 April 2005 at 4:03 PM

like work the peeing boy statue? The hamster on the wheel could drive the pump. I'm in engineering, you see.....we're always thinking about stuff like that.
