parasite3 ( ) posted Mon, 25 April 2005 at 2:12 PM

I'm taking one picture out my backyard every week, and have been doing that for ~2 months. Later I will put them all together in an animation to see how a year passes. That'll be sweet.

You gotta be havin' a larf - you waited till it was dark and raining - lol

He he I just pointed the camera out the window next to me hence all the ghost images off the glazing.

Onslow, it's 9:10pm here in Scotland and still light. Tee Hee. Cyn, what a view. Steve

Onslow ( ) posted Mon, 25 April 2005 at 3:28 PM

Well perhaps it was just as well being dark given the view from my window compared to yours :P - lol 28th it is then - wonderful cloudscape cindy :)

WOW, this last one is just wonderful, and I look forward to have it green like I see in your shots, but it will come to Sweden too. Around May 1st the birches use to come with their first tiny leves. Sun is shining, but we stll have frosty nights.

Shelia this is a charming image, he's all puffed up against the cold.

I took this ages ago and it's scanned in It's terrible quality but i've always liked the light in it The garden hasn't changed much since then An assortment of family members is included, the picture is actually straight, it's the trellis in the garden that's wonky

This one is for Shelia. This is a group photo of some of the people who live in our community standing in our backyard vegetable garden. Probably not what most people would expected a bunch of hippies living in a commune to look like. At least they all look pretty main stream to me:}

tvernuccio ( ) posted Tue, 26 April 2005 at 8:02 AM

Thanks, Jim!!!! I LOVE the photo...how everyone's relaxed and being silly!!! Hey, i'm just old hippie and I look pretty main stream! (yeah right!). seriously...i wouldn't have expected the people to look any different. :) you've really made me interested in this place and the people living here!!! appreciate you posting this!!!! :) flopsy, i see why you like this! the lighting is so warm and somehow seems to add to the innocence of the children there!

So many of you have such great views...scenic and otherwise. :) This is actually a photo taken from the side of my house looking out over the man-made lake. My patio is on the left. You may recognize this view from a number of my photos, especially the sunrise ones.

Wow Cindy!!!! Gorgeous view!!!! I love this Simon Says-thread, really cool to see what kind of view you all have. Since im here at work all i can access are photos from my gallery....sorry about that. First one is facing north.....

How come we say 'It's colder than hell outside' when isn't it realistically always colder than hell since hell is supposed to be fire and brimstone?

That's a good idea...a pic of where we live. :) I envy your solitude out there, except for the pesky cows! =]

cynlee ( ) posted Tue, 26 April 2005 at 1:06 PM

solitude can be a good thing but like all good things, too much can drive one batty!!! kort... do you have a boat? that'd be fun... can you go skiing there or are those pesky gaters in the way? ;o)))

TwoPynts ( ) posted Tue, 26 April 2005 at 1:16 PM

Yes, but I'd rather that than the constant hum of traffic. Still, I know I've got it pretty good...finally. :) No, I don't have a boat and the lake is too small to do anything fun on. My house is at the red marker (thanks Google). It is just a man made retention pond, though big enough for them to stock with fish. I think a someone in the lake to the north of us has a paddle boat...that is the biggest the HOA will allow. :/ My in-laws have a boat up in gator country and a nice big lake nearby. I'm going up there again this weekend in fact, hope to take the boat out for more photos and some peace on the open water. Ahhh, the good life. ;o]

What a funny idea with these lakes, never seen anything like that. Can you take a bath in it, is it a BIG swimmingpool? Cyn, saw you have a wonderful pool, I don't even have a bird's bath ( well that's because of Simon of course) Fun to see all different views.

TwoPynts ( ) posted Tue, 26 April 2005 at 1:59 PM

With all the chemicals they use on the lawns, I'd hesitate to bath in the lake, or eat the fish. The neighbors dog loves jumping in though, and I've seen no ill effects there. :)

TwoPynts ( ) posted Tue, 26 April 2005 at 3:22 PM
