I don't think you stink at underwater scenes--nice haze effect, it really gives an underwater feel! And the green gives it a different look form the usual blue or aqua. My only criticisms would be: i think the ocean floor would look better with some bumpier texture and I think the shark (if you have a program to pose it with) would be twisting around a bit if a big squid was grabbing it. (I know I would! :P) Cool picture, overall!
Thanks inkwolf - I think the haze is muddying the sand material - I'll try upping the bump a little more. I'm trying to warp the hammerhead and the squid tentacles in Amorphium but I'm having a heck of a time - guess I should try spending a little more time with the other programs I have and not just Brycing. Glad you liked it and I'm glad I'm on the right track as far as an underwater scene goes. Thanks again for taking the time to look and comment, I really appreciate it. Jade
great scene for someone who has never posted here i guess i haven't the right to criticise , but i wish we could get so more realistic seaweeds, and if we are also at 20 000 leagues under the sea perhaps the light ought to come from the submersible you have in the background insted of from everywhere, no offense intended :) other than that i think it is great !! Weslok
Thanks Weslok for the comments and criticism - it's based on the book '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea' by Jules Verne and even the book's title is a little misleading - they never actually went to a depth of 20,000 feet in the book - they just travelled 20,000 leagues and they were under water when they did it. You're right though, if it was that deep I'd do a pitch black background with one of those fishes with the built-in lights and big teeth and no eyes! Jade
