We were in Frederick, Maryland, USA in 2003. There is a section where a bridge and walls are painted in the "trompe l'oeil" method. Otherwords: The walls are flat, flat, flat. All you see is illusion. Neat, huh? I had to rub the walls to be certain brick was not there. This beats out lots of software in realism and "fools the eye". Pascale, someone, please tell me exactly how you would translate "trompe l'oeil". Thanks. Tom.

Cyn, I love this stuff! Especially the ones with "sideways perspective" where the side view shows "true" perspective and from the front it is all agast.

I have digitally attempted to duplicate that effect using images of the paintings but "perspective correction" etc. have not done the job justice.

Thanks for the link.

anyone want to try to "fool the eye" with a photo? Humm..that would be neat.

Tom.

This angelic girl is seen as a figure coming out of the wall in perfect perspective from the window of a building to the upper left of this shot, about 15 feet higher. From the angle shown, some of the perspective is seen. Straight on, the image is very distorted.

These "bricks" are also totally flat painted on a flat wall, not a seam nor a crack of mortar. Enjoy!
