THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Moveing objects

Shilo2010 ( ) posted Tue, 26 April 2005 at 8:09 PM · edited Wed, 04 December 2024 at 9:15 PM

Hi. Can someone please let me know how to move an object in Bryce. I am not talking about X, Y or Z axis but free hand movement, like turning something 180 degrees on the spot. I am also having trouble working out how to set onjects and landscape to specific altitudes. I find I will spend a bunch of time rendering a given sceen, and, for example, add water to a coast line only to find it covers half my land mass. This is a particular problem when I am trying to add water to low laying land like valleys to make lakes. Any help much apreciated. Thanks.

Rotate an object using the Rotate controls under the Edit page. Try using different camera angles when placing water planes (I recommend right view).

Hope this helps. :)

rotate y 90 degrees in the "a" attributes menu

"Reinstall Windows" is NOT a troubleshooting step.

I cant promise I wont be back with more dumb ass questions in the future but in return, I promise to learn to spell correctly and help others in turn as I learn more. Cheers

I would suggest reading the manual.

Shilo2010 ( ) posted Wed, 27 April 2005 at 5:41 PM

Very helpful lord, thank you so much! I apreciate the time and effort, your generosity truely knows no bounds !

lordstormdragon ( ) posted Wed, 27 April 2005 at 5:44 PM

The reason I suggest such a thing is that there are many, many people who just download Bryce for free. This is stealing, and considering how much money I paid for Bryce 3, 4, and SIX copies of Bryce 5, I find it offensive. I'm not accusing you of stealing, but if you are a legitimate owner, all of these answers will be in the manual. Good luck to you!

I will also point out that the manual is 240 pages, I am currently up to page thirty in printed format. I understand exactly 2% of what I have so far read. A genius I am not, but I sure do make some purdy pictures! Hehehe.....I love Bryce.

Jaymonjay, Oh. Oh wow! oh my oh my.... and I never knew that was there. I've been continuing with the old boring unhandy changing the atributes by typing in numbers and guessing method. I can't thank you enough for pointing that out to me. Fran
