Subject: Newbie question - Snow on rocks and trees? Help, please!!

I'm new to Vue 5 and I'm trying to make a snowy scene where there is snow tree branches and on tops of rocks and low hills. I can't seem to get the x,y,z scaling correct on the material mixing if that's, in actuality, what I need to do. Can anyone help me with this? The scene is not totally snow covered, just partially. This is a great forum, everyone, so keep up the good work! Thanks, Shirak

Definatle Guitas tutorial is simple, easy, and gets the job done for adding snow to trees and rocks. Its your best choice....

I looked at Guitas tutorial on Guita.com and that's great for pine trees, but what about for trees with no leaves? And I didn't see anything about rocks at all. Which tutorial in the backroom were you talking about? Argh, still confused!

Okay, I found the tutorial in the backroom and linked to that thread was download to Varian's site with a material. I can't convert the material though. Any way to get the old scene converter?
