Subject: Poser 6 How Do I...

Hailo ( ) posted Fri, 29 April 2005 at 11:57 PM · edited Sat, 08 February 2025 at 11:09 AM

Add all the content I purchased with Poser 5 to Poser 6?

Francemi ( ) posted Sat, 30 April 2005 at 12:26 AM

The easiest way is to link the Poser 5 runtime in Poser 6. If you don't know how, either search the forum (I saw that recently) or wait till someone can explain to you in English. I know exactly how to do it but I don't think I could explain correctly. Sorry.

The easiest way is to copy the entire contents of the P5 runtime (folder) into within P6 runtime (folder). Dont forget to load P6 Content library afterwards to fix a few content faults such as P6 will delete Kozubaru Hair obj files. Have fun

Hailo, Go to CL's web site and navigate to the Poser6 knowledge basetechnical. It tells you there exactly how to do it. Looks like you took the plunge then!! thefixer poser coordinator.

Hi Hailo,

You might find some helpful information in THIS TUTORIAL.

cheers.

;=] P.S. It works the same way in Poser6, too. Edited to remove all nudity, violence, links to pornographic sites (you prolly don't have a pornograph to play 'em on anyway), cuss words, naughty bits, excess garbage (like this edit message), TOS violations, and (of course) all TOP SECRET and other "classified" information. Note - for the "right' price, I'll put all of this stuff back ... wanna see it? ;=]

If not for help from this forum I would probably stomp up and down on Poser, then burn the box...with CD's in it 8) Thanks for all the help and putting up with my 101 questions. You guys are the best!

Dimension X, I would not recommend mingling the P5 and P6 runtimes. It is much better to keep them separate and just link the P5 runtime to P6. See Dr. Geep's turotial above on how to do it.

DIMENSION_X ( ) posted Sun, 01 May 2005 at 2:43 AM

I have done that and I have not had a problem. I would not mention if I did.

thefixer ( ) posted Sun, 01 May 2005 at 6:59 AM

It's perfectly ok to do that as long as you're careful. I did that with P5 stuff and when P6 is running ok I'll be transferring all my P5 stuff into P6 and taking P5 off my computer altogether. thefixer poser coordinator.
