It has come to my attention AGAIN, that my models - my Egret/Herons, Pelicans and probably many others are being passed around illegally. I will at this point not mention names, but PLEASE, if you are the recipient of such a "gift" do NOT use the models! It is the only way to fight the illegal sharing of models! Many of you know how very hard I have worked on my models and texture maps, morphs etc. My shoulder is giving out on me, and now I am only able to continue with texture mapping and some minor morphs. It causes me MORE PAIN than even the partial loss of the use of my shoulder/arm that people can be so mean as to use my model sets illegally. If someone offers you such a "gift" please know that they are committing an illegal act and your use of these models will also be illegal!

I keep a copy of all my sales notices - names and e mails, etc. and MY STORE has a record of the addresses that the legal copies were mailed to. I am aware of the people that have my products legally.

The only way that anyone can receive a "gift" of my models (in whole or even a part of a set) is for one person to come to me and BUY an extra copy and tell me who it is for, so that I have a record of the legal owners. Without that record, I have to assume that if you are not on my lists you are using illegal copies! I have had e mails from various people about both the sighting and the receiving of copies of my models. I am not naming names as I said, so I can protect the honest people who are reporting this activity to me.

When my shoulder gets better one of the first things I have been planning are more high quality photo real FREEBIES... and for the HONEST people, I will still follow through with this, but right now it but it sure takes the edge off the "spirit of giving" with the knowledge of more and more people using and sharing illegal copies of my models!

Lyne, I'm so sorry they are cheaters and people stealing money from your pocket by doing this wares, stealing. Why do people even think this is any different than going down to the store and stealing a pair of shoes. Hugs; to you. Leah

Lyne, you know how much I sympathize with you. Poser "Gift" sharing among people in theft denial has always been a problem. I think eveyone knows that "gift" is theft denial code for "here I bought this just take it and don't ask questions". Poser gifts should be in Gift Certificates or store downloads. I would never trust a "gift" coming off someone's computer directly. Just make sure you keep that list of info. Best Regards, Anton

Oh Lyne, this is terrible, I am so, so sorry to hear this. I wish people took into consideration all the work it takes to create these items and how we are not charging an arm and a leg for them, to give them away to others that have not paid for them is terrible.

I hope your shoulder feels better soon and if there is anything we can do, you let us know, we are behind you.

How aweful, people who don't make these things have no idea the work put into them and to just pass them around is shameful. I'm afraid greedy natures take over. So sad Lyne.............

They really do know though. There are many people who broker and have been tangled in Warez though they may think it goes unoticed or unreported. It is a horrible problem.

Those dirty rotten scoundrels! How upsetting this must be to you Lyne and don't blame you for being upset. But hope in all the frustration you remember that with a lot of us the love, respect, admiration and caring we have for you as a person and for you work is what we freely pass on to others. Not your models but a recommendation of your work. Will keep an eye out! Can only hope the rotten apples do not spoil the whole bushel for you. Those dirty rotten scoundrels!

I have gotten back to browsing galleries and comparing names to my sales lists..and then contacting people privately and asking politely that they take images down... if they do not, I will have to move on to contacting mods... but even then I give the thieves the respect they do not deserve....unless they push it... my hope is that people who use illegal models better only use them "in private" and not post images in public with the items in them, at the very least! My best defense is my complete sales records, and then I can check on people.. ! Sad reality of our community.... BUT I do cherish the GOOD, kind FRIENDS and customers that have made my store and my work so rewarding! If not for folks like you, it would not be worth it! :)
