Here is a little poem I wrote in less than 5 minutes. I think its alright. Comments and suggestions are always more than welcome.

Thanks for viewing/reading!

How does one choose?
Choose between a love
That someone strongly feels for you,
And a love that may just be a fantasy.

A sure thing
Or a fools hope.

Heads or tails?

Take the easy way out
And stick with what you know
Or pray for the best
And see what happens.

Up or down,
Left or right,
Right or wrong.

There's really no choice here. This doesn't seem like it's a sure thing....if it is why are you tempted by some fantasy? Even though this person may have strong feelings for you it's not fair for you to choose them if you don't love them in the same way. It sounds to me that you don't. If you did, you'd know it, there would be no guessing, no choice to be made. If you care at all for this person you won't play with their affections in this way. They deserve someone that will love them as deeply in return. How can they find that love if they are wasting their time and efforts on you? Your only option is the fantasy...go for it. It may not work out but at least you won't have any regrets or wonder later on what could of been.

As love pours,
Onto a pair,
The intensity,
Is usually one,
Toward the other.

Seldom does love flow,
With equal magnitude
From each,
On the continuum.
Seldom.

The other, may
Suddenly
Bloom,
As the two
Move along.

Patience.
Drive on,
Hold a steady
Intuitive
Course,

and....

Let it rain!

depalo....such beauitful and insightful words...yes there is a chance of this happening...but I still stand by my words. I believe that love should hit you like a bolt of lightening.....you should know it, feel it from the tip of your toes to the top of your head. You should feel as if you can't live or breathe without this person, you should love them with all your heart and soul and there should be no room for temptation or for guessing. Even love this is that strong wain and dwindle down to nothing over time... How can a love that is less stand a chance at all of lasting?

A rose is a beautiful thing; But armed with thorns. If the skin should prick, that day brings scorn; And treasures trashward go. Is Love's duty so cheaply held?

NothingNess ( ) posted Wed, 27 April 2005 at 9:33 AM

No, not cheaply held. It's highly prized and respected here. A rose's beauty is a fleeting thing, what's a rose without thorns? That's it's nature, it's wild beauty. It's suppose to prick you if you don't treat it gently and with respect. Love is suppose to last forever...he who discards love so easily has never loved deeply.

So Love's Duty is to love despite the thorns and despite its fleeting nature...and therin lies your answer.
