Well I had good intentions of being at the lake at sunrise, well we all know what good intentions are good for don't we. As it turned out I got there somewhere around 7:30-8:00 am. Spent about 2.5 hours walking around a wooded area by the lake. Got some photos of a red-tip black bird, a gackle and a pair of wood ducks. Most of the photos are average quality. My 75-300 IS lens is just to soft and slow to focus to be much use for wild life. I am hoping to upgrade my lens soon. Here are a few photos from my trek.

The Gackle (sp?) This guy landed about 10 feet from me. Love the purple reflections of these birds.

Thanks cryptojoe! jocko - That is what happens to me most of the time!! I got lucky and while standing beside a tree at the water's edge the ducks and the Grackle came to me.
