Vue F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Dec 30 8:14 pm)
Hard to say in my eyes. How about downloading the Vue 5 demo - no Infinite demo yet - and see how it goes on your machine? I think it IS faster but it has new rendering features that make it slower as well - if you select them. I find it very hard to compare rendering speed. Especially too avoid comparing apples with pears. So everybody has to give personal answers to that - how the software suits to the personal needs and wishes.
One day your ship comes in - but you're at the airport.
On this much debated subject, my personal opinion : Render speed does not mean much! the reason is there are so many settings : materials with complex textures, boolean evaluation/baked booleans, grouping objects, light schemes,(shadows/noshadows/shadowmaps..) plus the quality render settings, antialiasing etc... that you could render the same image with not much difference in quality with a render-time several fold longer!

Hi all,
I haven't posted on this forum for a long time, but after seeing recent footage of what vue infinite can do i''m very interested in getting back into this soft again.
My question is, has the render speed increased in vue drastically since 4.2,I love everthing about the software, when it comes to rendering,The quality is amazing but the speed just killed it for me. I mainly use cinema 4d now and one of the things i love about it is the fast render engine.
I just wondered if this was still a problem before purchasing
