I'm still working on this picture. I especialy need to do something about the grass on the side of the road. And maybe I need to make a bit more misty. What do you guys think about it?

Very impressive, Rynn! One thing I would correct is the awkward ending of some of the branches. They seem to abruptly end unlike real ones. Excellent atmosphere, though! Cheers Daniele

Thanks. :) I don't really know how I can change the abrupt ending of the braches. These trees are the winter pear trees from Vue. It's really only a problem with the trees that are closest by it seems to me. Mmm, I'll see if I can come up with a solution. think, think ;)

Beautiful Rynn! Keep it coming! - You can enlarge the closest trees, effectively putting the branch ends out of sight (off the canvas). It would also add to the sense of perspective (items seem larger the closer you are to them). - You could add leaves to the Winter Pears, which would hide the blunt branch ends. - You could use a bit of touch-up in a paint program to stretch the blunt ends out in a more natural taper. (Doesn't affect the spirit of the Vue-only exercise, since it's not painting the path.) - I'd like to see a bit more texture on the road itself, maybe even a couple rutted lanes where wheels have tranversed frequently, or perhaps some variation in the dirt color. - The edges of the road seem too straight. Maybe add some more infringing grass along the edges, or --? These are just some thoughts, but it really is a lovely image. Nice work! :) Varian -- Treasures d'Esprit

Waa, thanks a lot Varian. :) You gave me some good idea's for the trees. :) I know what you mean about the texture on the road. It doesn't seem realistic. I don't have much experience with textures, but I sure will try to make the road texture better. And I know about the strait edges, that's why the grass polls are there, but they didn't come out right. So I need to do something about that.

Wow!!! This is gorgeous! I can't think of anything to make changes (only just woke up grin). But, I can't wait to see the next stage!! Beck

Very nice work there Rynn. I agree with what Varian has said, too, but that would be in the context of this as a final image. Ass for the VC, I think you've done a really good job getting a good path there. :) --Mike

oops..didn't mean "ass", LOl I meant "as", but I'm sure you knew that!

lol, English is not my own language. I probably wouldn't have noticed. :D I think I said in my original post that I'm still working on this picture. Which basicaly means it's far from a final image. I think I solved the grass and the strait edges in the mean time, and the trees are looking better also. Thanks to Badan for pointing that out. :) But the texture for the road is more difficult. I want it to look real, but till now I have not much luck. Not giving up yet though. ;) btw, for the VC I realise this path is not much of a challenge. It's a simple strait path. But I'm enjoying making this picture, so you guys are stuck with it. ;)
