Im not sure how everyone wants to do this, but I wanted to wait till the first of the month to get these off their feet. The fist challange will be a Underwater scene. The image has to be a new image(nothing previously posted anywhere) and assembled in Bryce. Please take the time to note and tricks or techniques you use to achieve your final result. Members will vote on the best image, and the winner may choose the next challange. One question tho...How long should each challange run? 1 a month or one every 2 weeks? And if anyone would care to help me on this, I would appreciate it. Ive been a little bogged down lately due to other projects. Ken

In the Rhino Forum the challenge is for two weeks. That's usually enough time to finish, but with other things interfering maybe a month would be better and get more people participating. For my self I would probably put it off till the last few days then rush something out. So either option would be fine with me. Any longer would be too apt to lose interest. the FOG

one per month... bryce renders slow..and underwater renders will EAT time rendering even more, especially if anyone uses volumetric slabs or volumetric lighting to achieve that "honed" look... Id kinda like to do this challenge, but have to wait until my current render finishes (wont finish for about another week) anyhow, let us know please BT

one per month please - like BT says sometimes Bryce can render things real slow - Can I cheat and use the one I just posted yesterday? please? Jade

BT, yeah, I forgot, gotta set it to render before the summer vacation on the 486 cyrix chips. Might be done when you get back. Even this K-7 takes time on complex images. AMD...We need more power for all this fun stuff!!!! GO AMD, ra ra raa.
