Subject: Shrinking large images for full view

.....I'm curious if other people do this - whenever I encounter a large image on Renderosity - ( where you can't see it all unless you scroll ) -- I hold the left side of the mouse down and slide it down under the picture until a little plus sign appears -- then the image shrinks so that all of it is visible ---- now -- I discovered this by accident - and it does comes in pretty handy - my questions would be -- does everyone do this ? ( is this common knowledge )-- & is there another way to do this -( like hitting a certain key? ) --thanks Doug

oh l just went and experimented... l got a circle with a line through saying do you want to move this image.. then a real fast scroll down, went like Hell...but the image remind the same size.... normally scroll from the side tool bar thingy... hugs...no nothing shrinks this way for me.. nikki...

...well - this method seems to work on some computers and not others - at the library their computers say " this action not allowed" --- but it usually works on internet cafe computers and my home computer --- anyway - the image has to be oversized to start with or nothing happens....next - I hold down the left side of the mouse over the image and slide down (stillholding it down ) into the bar at the bottom of the screen ---- a little dotted rectangle and a plus sign appear ---and the picture shrinks ----is this voodoo?? ------ tell me this is SOP.

Hmmmmm, I would guess that might be more likely a browser function than a Windows function, hence why it would work on some not on others. Doesn't work on mine (Netscape 7x).

I always copy and paste it in PSP to have a look then delete.Thats only 2 mouse clicks for me...Seeing how I am always rushing I like things that save time. You can also drag it to the top and it will appear as only the jpg. One reason why it goes smaller for you is you have Enable auto Image Resizing checked in your internet options. I uncheck that box and make all images actual pixels.

you have to have the xp service packs and the power toys to experince this feature....it is one of the power toys. these power toys were available for the windows 9x system but they are no longer available.

Pictures appear to me, I shoot them.   Elliot Erwitt

i've stumbled upon it myself from time to time, sliding around the mouse too quickly but can't get it to do it on purpose... thought i was looking at the image in a temporary file... i do have some of the XP powertools... next time i manage to do it, i'll look a little closer at where i'm at :]

OH!!! that's it Doug!! Drag the image to the top!! works everytime... GOT IT! :D (& i am in my temp files :)
