Happy Mother's Day everyone. What more appropriate time to wax poetic? Write a Mother's Day poem for the occasion and post it here. They should be sincere, but can be mushy, if you're so inclined. So, let's hear it for the moms! (And if you forgot to get her a present you can just point her to this site and tell her that you wrote a poem for the whole world to see instead!) jon

Memories J. M. Strother Eighty plus years. A long time. With pains and joys, But joys mostly. Though everyone claims it, I know it to be true, You really were The best mother ever. Now there are only memories. But these memories are like wishes, Wishes that have already come true.

I guess she did the best she could I think she did what a mother should She was not always patient She was not always kind I'm sure she often felt That she was not well understood But still she did the best she could And yet she did what a mother should Today we meet as friends Today we set aside The disappointments we have And try to forgive each other for good.
