You want a macro program. Go to www.google.com and search "Macro programs". Or go to www.download.com and look there.

This sounds more like 'screen recorder' software. Theres a free trial of camtasia at their site above. Also this one, which I have not tried, captures to flash format:

I bought hypercam for 30$ instead of camtasia at 300$,both demos seemed about the same, there's more options in Camtasia but Hypercam suits my needs. though Ockhams suggestion looks cheaper than both of them, wish I'd seen that a couple months ago : Cheers StefanAttached Link: http://www.debugmode.com/wink/
"Wink" is outstanding program dedicated to just making tuts for softwareand its free. It does a lot more than just screen capture as you can add explanation callout boxes and control buttons. Output is to Macromedia Flash, Standalone EXE, PDF, PostScript, HTML or any of the common bitmap formats (BMP/JPG/PNG/TIFF/GIF). Great thing about it (besides being free) is you dont need to have or know anything about Macromedia Flash to use it. SWAMPAttached Link: http://www.fraps.com

I've played with this app from Qarbon in the past and have seen some photoshop tutorials made with it and was pretty impressed -- they have a pay version and a free version (which is what we're all after, isn't it). The link takes you to some of the samples they have posted -- note the sample at the bottom of the page for Carrara. Looks the company has grown up a bit since I played with the app in its earlier days, but thought you might find this useful. I think that with the free version you have to post your tutorial on their server (which can be good news for those looking for a place to post things). This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. I'm looking for a preferably free program that can record whatever moves I make on the computer and make an .avi or something similar out of it so i can distribute it as part of a tutorial. If anyone could help me out, I'd appreciate it.
