Please correct me if I'm wrong, but are the owners of 3dcafa bunch of elitist snobs? Let's forgo the outrageous price they ask to become a member. I can overlook that, but the free membership criteria ticked me off. If you upload 10 textures or 1 mesh and if it is deemed worthy of the VIP lounge, you will put into a queue for consideration for free membership for 1 year. Gimme a break. Get over yourselves. Am I wrong here? I don't want to offend anyone here who's a member. I was just really put off by that.

We once had a mesh awarded and an image chosen, I think 4 years back and were placed in that queue for free VIP membership. Still waiting :-)

? ok..well I didn't know this stuff..;) hmm..10 textures or a mesh, just to get in. So that's how they get so many..well, I don't know the cash amount they asked for, so I couldn't say. There's other sites, so don't limit yourself..good luck.

Had an image of mine done in Bryce and 3DSM win a Platinum award there January of last year they never mentioned anything about free membership!

I can't find where it says anything about free membership but they sure are asking a lot for membership.

Scroll right to the bottom. Its right above the "Learn Maya Online" banner. Nice Image Quest. Being half Egyptian, I have an emotional as well as a romantic connection to Egyptian art.

TobinLam at the bottom of http://www.3dcafe.com/asp/platinumdefault.asp Wow they sure are asking for a lot, anyone member and can say if it's worth it? lol not that I am going to pay that much but still, is there a lot of good stuff in the VIP? :)
