For those who dont know what a ringflash is, or are wondering what one looks like, here's a pic of mine on my cam with the Canon 100 macro lens. Very powerful, choice of three lighing methods: both sides, left or right side. Output fully controllable on all methods. You can also see two built in lights for those dark subjects to aid critical focusing. This is the Canon one (they also do a double ringflash!). Sigma also do one for their macro lens's. Way to go for macro photography as many have seen on my latest macro images. I know a lot of you out there are interested hence the post :) see yah jimbO

I guess a muct for macro enthusiasts. I hear they are good in dark situations too.

Not only a ring flash, but you've got a nice tripod, too. A head like that costs about $200 here.... :-/

Wel Simon, as you know and most, I got all this gear in the most unfortunate circumstances...inheritence!...tell you the truth, we still miss him even today...not a family member, but a dear old friend!

Yep, I know Jim and I'm sure it is hard, but given the same situation I would do the same cam wise. Things like that are never easy. BTW awesome IOW photo (Solent) brought back some fond memorys.
