Inspired by Anton's recent community timeline thread, I found this - the earliest reference to transmapped hair (although I think there may have been earlier posts on the subject, judging by the messages). When you get there, remember that the model is Posette. :)tlaubach is Tim Laubach, of Happy Worldland - one of the most comprehensive texture collections back in the Posette days.
Grey is Ian Grey, founder of the original Poser Forum (and hence Renderosity, under circumstances which I'm not going to touch with a barge pole).
akisiel is Anton Kisiel, now known to us as byAnton.
From the hair post, Yamato and Traveler are still active.
The rest I don't know... Edited for spelling, and to add that anyone who starts doing the Monty Python "ee, we 'ad it rough" sketch will be ejected by the moderators. :D

I wonder what happened to bikermouse. I haven't seen nor heard of him in a while.
Before they made me they broke the mold!

Can I add one? This was my faborite dragon. hehe I was so excited about the idea of conforming parts. There was so much uncharted/untried territory back then. All the little stuff we do now was so exciting. I don't have this file anymore. I wish I did though. :( Fun seeingthe old names together before we all scattered to our corners. Anton

That was my first Poser figure. covers eyes sheepishly It is still for download I think. I see it every once in a blue moon. The DragonV2 was from Bbay much later, but still old. I had a disk Bill sent me but all the zips went bad.

My first post here on September 2000, not so bad for a 3 month old baby(I started with Poser in July 2000).Message edited on: 05/11/2005 02:28
Stupidity also evolves!
bikermouse is still around, just quiet and popping up infrequently (moved on to other things). EricofSD is very much still around -- as he pointed out at the first link, lol.
thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)

"So here I sit, with the wisdom of two and a half months of Poser... rending images... and thinking, "Gee... It just can't get any more realistic that THIS!".. and then I pause.. and wonder what the future will bring." tlaubach 8/18/99 ------ I just went back to the beginning of the archives - just to see what was going on. I found this thread which included images of the time. The second post in the thread is rather interesting as well. Before they made me they broke the mold!
