My thanks again to everyone. I will certainly pass these well wishes on to TheMadPainter. I think just knowing others are thinking about you and hoping for the best is good medicine in times like this. I appreciate so much each and everyone of you taking the time to lend your encouragement to her. Little things like that can me a lot in times like this. :O)
Oh my, I'm so sorry to hear this :(

Hi,
Thanks again to everyone for your concern. Just wanted to pass this along. It is an excerpt from the email theMadpainter sent me about her upcoming surgery. This sounds a bit more touch and go than I originally supposed. Naturally I am very concerned.
...Friday Morning I check into the hospital and will have surgery that morning for the Cerebral Aneurysm Coiling...and if all that goes well it is possible I will be home between mon & Wed sometime.....This is not a simple surgery and has it's risks...there is a death rate with this one so I am aprehensive to say the least...but out of the few proceedures available for this kind of aneurysm it seems like it has the best chances....there are numerous things that can go wrong before, during and after the surgery...but yet it has the best rate of all the techniques so I hope all goes well there....
Hi dialyn, yes this last bit in particular has certainly been a frightening experience. The out show of concern by the folks here has really done a lot to help Shirley. It means a lot in trying times like this to know others are thinking about you, and rooting for you to get better. I can not thank the folks here enough. It is really appreciated.
My prayers are with her hope all goes well. SndCastie

Hi, just wanted to let everyone know that theMadPainter made it through surgery okay and is now back home recovering. She will have to go back in a couple weeks to have the lung remove due to the cancer, but once that is behind her, the worse hopefully will be over. Again, I thank you all so much for your thoughts, prayers, and encouragements. It means a lot. Best regards, Rob

Hi, As some of you are aware, around last October both TheMadPainter and I had to put our Poser projects on a back burner because of real life issues that cropped up on us - major medical problems for her, and some major health problems with my Mom and Dad. While I am heartened to say that things in my world are improving somewhat, and my folks (both who had been in and out of the hospital on numerous times last year) are improving. It is not the case, however, with TheMadPainter. On top of several other major complaints, that has had her in and out of the doctors office, undergoing tests, and even surgeries, these last several months, she has just been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm (needing immediate attention) as well as lung cancer, and will have to have one lung removed after the aneurysm is deal with. Again, this comes on the heels of other major medical issues she has already been undergoing. You can well imagine, the last few months have been a long, tiring, and trying ordeal for TheMadPainter, and while she is a strong lady (as many of you know) these kinds of problems can take their toll - so please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks :O) Now, for the Poser side of things. Please direct any emails (or IMs) concerning store items (whether her store stand alone items or items we did together) to me, and I will do my best to respond in a timely manner. While some questions may have to be passed on - and wait - until I can touch base with her, I should, hopefully, be able to answer most. Again, I am very saddened to make this announcement and sincerely hope my next can be to report good news on TheMadPainter. Rob
