First off, I like the grass. Very realistic. I find the skin of the poser figure to be a little over exposed, but you've achieved a wonderful natural expression. Kudos on that. Great texture rendering on the dog, it seems to be aligned perfectly. The tree in the background should be a little out of focus. I see you've avoided that fake looking Bryce sky altogether and... ...hold on, this is a real picture. Sorry. Never mind. Nice puppy.

I had a beagle named Snoopy. He was one of my favorite pets, I had him from about the time I was 8 until I was 20. If Chevy had a larger blaze he'd be a dead ringer for my Snoopy. (About my dog's name, I know I didn't use a lot of imagination in naming him, but I LOVED the Peanuts comic strip). If you've never had a beagle before, you're in for a real treat. They're clean, affectionate, smart, and they absolutely and unconditionally love children. And if you live where he can roam free, he will chase rabbits for days. Literally. I used to love hearing Snoopy's bugling (barking) at night.
This is not my "second childhood". I'm not finished with the first one yet.
