Fei Fei is the Poster Girl for Shade, much as GIRL is for Lightwave. I don't know if she -has- been rigged for Poser, but it would be =so= nice if she were!

That means she comes with Shade as default or she is an add on? I didn't know GIRL was a lightwave model at first...(I don't like her anyway...) pitklad

e-Frontier (the company that now owns Curious Labs) makes content in Japan, kind of like DAZ does here for Poser. Fei-Fei is one of their models for Shade. Apparently, she's widely used in advertising and the like over there.

So far as I know, she's not available in the U.S. It would be nice if they rigged her for Poser and sold her here.

Link is to a small gallery of Fei-Fei images. It's at e-Frontier's Japanese site.

If they really want to get people to shop at CP, they should put Fei-Fei in the store, for a reasonable price. I would buy her, for Shade or Poser.

I've become very frustrated with trying to get V3 to look anything other than European. She was designed as European looking, and while there are some very nice ethnic morphs, they only look good while the face is neutral. Try to add some expression, and the results are very unnatural. I want figures that were designed as Asian, African, etc., from square one. I'd love a figure like Fei-Fei.

Right you guy's, 'want to get REALLY excited? Well get this...you can buy DVD's of animation's that artist's have done in Japan using Fei Fei! I think there are 3 all together. thay are collectively called 'Virtually Real' and their by 'Escapi' and 'Fuji TV'the one of Fei Fei in particular is called 'Cybervenus Fei Fei'. Each DVD is about 70 minutes long and they are jaw droppingly good. Here in the UK they are arround 15.99 each ( about $35.00 I guess that would be?)

I recall when Anime seemed to explode into the UK, and it's a long time ago. O to be young again! Anyway, one thing I noticed was that the Japanese seem to be much more accepting of animation and comics as general-purpose media, just another way of telling a story. They didn't (don't?) have the "just for kids" hang-up that seems to fill, to some varying degree, all of the English-speaking world.

"When I was a child, I used to speak as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things." The Japanese culture doesn't have such a 'hang up'. They realise there is a time to act like a man, and a time to let it all hang out and act like a child agian. Those walls are slowly fading around the world as people are finding out that 'toons can be just as fun for adults and acting goofy just for the fun of it isn't a mortal sin.

"acting goofy just for the fun of it isn't a mortal sin." I can attest to that, as I'm from New Jersey, USA :-D

You can buy a series of animated shorts featuring Fei Fei and another 'virtual idol' called Yuki Terai. Their available in the UK for only a few quid if you shop around on DVD or Video. I have them both and while basic by today's CGI standards (they were produced over seven years ago or so) there are some very nice sequences. Best wishes Jody

Randym77 I agree with you that it would be better if we had ethnic figures then ethnic morphs... FeiFei will be ideal for an Asian base,Mayadoll is ok too... pitklad
