Ah, but I wasn't... (shaking head and tut-tutting at silly designers) So... it's a "feature" then? ROFL

Bryce does the same thing, if you stop a screen render, go into the Materials Lab, do nothing, and then go back to your scene. It will need to re-render. AS

Makes it a right pain if all you wanted to do was check something then... Definitely a "feature" then... ggg

Aye, it's been that way since version 3 Fran... Alas, if you make any changes, or open any options just to look except for maybe the Doc Setup, it will re-render the entire scene. The thing is, honestly, I've been a major proponent for all of Bryce's flaws and problems... But lately I've just come to realize how fluid and fun and QUICK it can be in many, many areas! I think I've about had it with myself, sometimes. Too much negativity... You'd think I had re-morphed back into a ShadowDragonLord or something... Bryce still rules! Knowing it's limitations is important, but methinks we're all in a much better world WITH it than without it...! (and that's about as much optimism as I've got in me tonight)
NOOOOOOO Waaaaaaaayyyyyyy.. Now we justs needs to workz on de otherssss and Convertz thems back to de foldz... The Light will get Brighter my fellow Brothers and Sisters... Just stand and join the rightous signing starting to be heard in the Bryce community once again.. Do I get an AMEN... Snicker snicker...Tooo much Tea this mornin...
Maybe I'm missing something, but what I do when I interrupt a render I want to continue (from that point) I save the br5 file first. Then jump over to D/S or go check something in the Bryce material editor. Before clicking "resume render" do a file|open (don't save), choose the file you saved earlier, and resume should pick up where it left off (before the save.)
Exactly. Or you can choose "file>revert", instead of browsing to, and re-opening the file. AS

jfike & AS, Ah but that's for people with a memory! I'm an idiot. No memory to speak of, I just work on impulse. I sit there, bored out of my skull, waiting for a render, and then this brilliant idea comes to me, I think to myself - "Ooo, I'll just check that out..." Arrrggghhhh! ggg

It's great that you can save a bryce file at say... 69% rendered and go to bed (I don't have the leave-it-on-all-night option - my brother pays the electric and would have a fit) and reopen the file in the morning and resume render... but you cannot... CANNOT! go to Daz via the massively ugly button and expect to resume render when you get back.... Beasts! Now why not? (thank gawd I still had the part rendered file and could return to it via "Open" & "Don't Save")
