South park is actually made in 3d,they animate in Maya,I always liked this quote from one of them

Back in Oct of 2001 rathbone made a set of SouthPark Characters in Truespace. They were some of the first freebees in the truespace forum. I just went there, I guess he took them down because they can't be downloaded anymore.

Have a look at this Caligari page, scroll down to the 'making of South Park: Reloaded' course and click the South Park picture for a 3minute plus South Park anim in trueSpace :)...um, no wait...the voices are telling me that was someplace else! grins
