I tried to sign up for the newsletter, but I haven't been getting a response for 3 days. Was wondering if anyone have manage to get an e-mail and the newsletter freebie. I tried 3 tries, and nothing. Just wanted to know. jlovesart2 aka JBWStar

Hmm, that's strange. I been to my Hotmail address just as I speak, and nothing. I may try another e-mail address... ::shucks!:: jlovesart2 aka JBWStar

Yes, trying another e-mail address is probably what you should do. M$ is probably blocking it as spam. I use Gmail, and had no problem.

Silly question, and certainly not in this forum but, how can I obtain a Gmail e-mail address? I know, a dumb question, but had to give it a shot. Thanks, jlovesart2 aka JBWStar

I'd heard they were now letting anyone sign up, but I can't remember what the URL was. If you want an invite, let me know your e-mail address, and I'll give you one.

Never mind, I went into my Yahoo! account, which I don't care for. Just found out, Gmail is a work in progress -- unlike me as an artist -- Lol... I got it. Thank you, randym77. jlovesart2 aka JBWStar

Okay randym77 mines jbWStar@hotmail.com That's my Poser info e-mail for Hotmail. Would love to know what it's about. Sorry for not reading the post sooner. Been quite ignored for a texture and character question -- which is in another post if someone's interested in giving me some pointers, plus, had to keep in mind on Copyright infringements -- that sorta thing. If you can send me an invite via e-mail aforementioned, that will be swell. Thanks again, jlovesart2 aka JBWStar

Sent the invite. We'll see if it's blocked, too. ;-) You should get an e-mail with instructions on how to sign up. You might try re-posting your other question. Sometimes posts just get overlooked. And once it scrolls past the first page or two, few people will even see it.

Well, good news! I got my Gmail account thanks to your invite, and I appreciate you sending it to me. It didn't block it this time. Went to both my Yahoo! account and Google account [since, I assume they're running neck-and-neck as web search engines], and I got the Zygote confirmation from both parties. I appreciate your help in this, as I don't really care for these problem e-mail clients. Well, off to even more adventures in the world of Art! Great help, randym77! jlovesar2 aka JBWStar

Does Gmail allow POP3 yet? I have an account but haven't used it in awhile because I like to do my mailing from outlook express.

randym77 ( ) posted Wed, 18 May 2005 at 5:35 AM

More likely, Hotmail is blocking it as spam.
