that link (thanks by the way) takes you to 3dcommune.. but the angela character is not showing up.. only the clothpack and the mech pack (same as here in marketplace).

The angela character is no longer available, due to copyright issues. Part of the mesh was stolen from other figures, I think.

Nope. Not there either. When the copyright issue was discovered every site that carried it dropped it.

Alexa, too. The same guy made both figures and there were copyright issues with both of them.

What I don't get is the double standard. In this case there seems to be a case of repeat copyright violation, yet the person continues to have an active store here. In the copyright forum there was a case brought publically of a new merchant who had a copyright violation, on their first item, and that person has been perma banned from ever being allowed to be a merchant here, and probably banned from the boards. Why is it that some can violate, repeatedly, and still maintain a store here, while others are banned the first time it happens?

I dont know nuthin about that.. but My thoughts were how can stuff still be for sale in MP here if theyre for a copyright violation model? loophole or not, its a matter "ethics"... Violation = pull the product, deal with it twen the parties involved.. AND to me, it would make sense to pull any specific produts that fit that model too. As a "layman", I "assumed" that the model just had to exist out there somewheres, as there was clothes and such for sale here at RO for it. See? :)

Acadia. The person you're referring to claimed it was his first offense, but it was actually his second or third (I forget which). Raz, they didn't pull those other items because, even tho the base figure has copyright violations, those items do not.

Well the person mentioned earlier in this thread has 2 violations that resulted in 2 figures he created being pulled off of the market... how come he's still allowed to have a store? I'm not saying to ban him as a merchant, I just am curious as to why this person with multiple violations (2 that we know of), hasn't had the server measures taken against him that the person in the copyright forum had? It just seems to be "pick and choose" where the rules are concerned.

As far as I know, the Angela copyright issue was alleged but never actually proven (the Alexa one was proven, but as Alexa was a 3dCommune exclusive it would be irrelevant here). Because it is suspect, all the stores dropped it, but they can't really take further action until it's actually proven.
