C4D? That or POVRay.

I'll guess c4d 6, because it cant do real HDRI, and needs to be faked.....also the texture on the "world" inside the pyramid looks like one of the basic textures that comes with c4d.....Or it bryce and you fooled us...I dont know.

I'm saying it's Bryce. I've seen you do better stuff with the other apps involved, and if it's Maya you're in trouble, because that glass pyramid looks like crap! To be honest, the floor texture is cool and the shiny wood seat/disc is cool, the rest of it seems a bit beneath your skill level?

Really pretty. I have no idea, but it looks right up POVrays alley. If you did it in POVray, my hat goes off to ya. A command line ray tracer? I'll stick with Bryce's mediocre rendering, thanks.

Thanks for the complement LSD!, I really was just having a quick play (the scene is less then ten minutes work + time for this first render) and I thought I might play this guess the app game.

Well, the answer, it's actually 3dsMax 3.1, the wood is a shellac of a raytraced polish material over a wood bitmap, the spheres and pyramid are just raytraced mats in max. Total time - 10 minutes to create the scene and about 20 to render.
