very nice, Cindy! the first one is my favorite because i see what i think is an abandoned building in the globe. i also love the shadows on that one too!!! very much appeals to me! 2nd one i love it too...the reflection inside the globe reminds me of Stargate!

To me, you show two really different looks here. I like the directness of the second but prefer the first..glad you entered both. The globe stand is less dominant in the first and the glass and shadow take the view; that is why I like it a tiny bit better. Tom.

Like both these, but the 1st one is my fav. Love the play of light and dark.

i was hoping more reflection (which i think is my face & hand holding the cam & the fireplace) would show up in the first but i do like how the light is captured within the globe to make it stand out against the shadow while the 2nd shows more a refraction... a refracted shadow at that once i viewed the pics i thought i really could've taken the time to polish the globe, lol... had just wiped it briefly on my shorts... but then i kinda like the dust anyway thank you guys for your feedback, appreciated :]

Geez Cyn, you just have to do everything so well, doncha!?! ;] I like the second, especially the way the shadow is refracted in the top left of the scrying ball, but the first one is my dramatic fav! =] Great entries!

Ah Cyn lovely, you know how much I like these don't you, yes I reckon I go with the flow the first is my favorite too I just love the little unicorn stand/holder

I too love them both for different reasons! The first one is very atmospheric and the second one is really stylish! If I had to pick one, I'd pick the second one though! Yep! Super shots! Love it!

Both are wonderfully done. But the first appeals to me more because the composition is so much more balanced and therefore striking. The image is divided by a diagonal, which separates light and dark, while each has a round shape within.Almost like a percent sign,(%).There is a beautiful symmetry in it.

Both are most cool photos. Very awesome photo work as always. I like the first :-)

Yeah...I agree with Margana! The 1st one "got me" right away! Its the whole light vs dark thang! It just oozes more DRAMA (IMO)! A very cool refraction study/piece! The crystal ball itself is an awesome subject..could really go to town with something like that! I see in my future...getting some BALLS (HEHE) L8r! Joe
