Subject: INJ Morph Headaches (M3)

barrowlass ( ) posted Fri, 27 May 2005 at 11:20 AM ยท edited Mon, 03 February 2025 at 1:18 PM

Have just reinstalled M3 base and Head & Body Morphs into P5 runtime (they were originally in P4/PP. However, I can't seem to apply the morphs to the M3 base. Nothing changes on parameter dials. Everything's installed as it should be. Which is the best base to use, Blank, Sr1 or Michael 3 to 2? Its a bit of a headache

My aspiration: to make a decent Poser Render I'm an Oldie, a goldie, but not a miracle worker :-)

Only the full Michael 3 takes body morphs - the BLANK is of interest mainly to content creators, not end users, and takes no morphs at all while Mike 3 to Mike 2 has its body grouped like Michael 1/2, which means that the mesh is wrong for the M3 body morphs (head morphs do work though). You should use SR1, the older version was superseded (and make sure you use the updated version of the mrophs or the left limbs won't morph correctly). In order for the morphs to inject Michael must be the first figure loaded into a blank scene - if you have Casual Don or whatever loading by default delete him, save the scene, close and reopen before loading Michael 3.

thanks - I'd downloaded the M3 base on offer at DAZ as I'd mislaid the disk i'd had it on (tho for some reason the morphs were on separate disk - bad housekeeping there I think.) I'll try and hope for the best. I always have P5 set to open with blank screen

I took advice and used Sr1 - Poser 5 took a while to apply the morphs but after a lot of umm-ing and ahh-ing applied them ok. Now I can play! ;-)

You can speed the loading up by, if you haven't already done so, copying the Runtimelibraries!DAZ folder into your main runtime (eg so you have C:Program filesCurious LabsPoser 5Runtimelibraries!DAZ). You have to do that anytime you add a new set of morphs (not an injection pose - something with a brand new morph shape) or an update.
