Subject: PZ3 to CR2

Can anyone give me a hand taking a PZ3 with replaced feet and toe sections to a CR2? I've got the model exported as an OBJ, but I can't make a new CR2 model out of it? It's for a werewolf, with the feet and toes replaced by haunches, and the neck and head exchanged for the wolf neck and head. Any ideas?

I think you can turn a pz3 into a cr2 just by renaming it.

If you have successfully done the replace body part with prop thing and are looking at a new correctly working figure then the thing to do is- Save out the PZ3

  • Open the PZ3 in John Stalling's CR2 editor. (available in the freestuff)
  • Delete all Camera, lights, & Document info etc. Open a regular CR2 in the second panel and make comparisons. Pitch what you do not need.
  • Now save the PZ3 as a CR2 file to somewhere within the character library.

That's it in a nutshell, if you get stuck holla! :)

You can also use my pz3tocr2.exe. renaming it works fine but carries lighting info and other garbage. Also, if you have poser 4, you can just parent the figures then save it as a cr2.
