If you choose to DL the large TIF files, Make seperate folders for the larger images. The process of trying to create thumbnails overloaded my Windows Explorer and shut it down. Very fast memory dump & I have 1Gig of memory with the highest allowable cache setting.

there's a replacement in the works, but they want to orbit it at one of the LaGrange points (nothing to do with ZZTop..;), and do infrared astronomy..still no word yet on the progress of that one..I watch too much Discovery channel..;)

Strange and lovely pictures. The Sky Myth series I made recently turned out to be quite like these (except God is obviously using the platonically ideal form of Bryce and has a great deal more render power than I do).
Having now stretched my internet pipe until it squeaks, I'd better do something with these Hubble pictures. There's definitely some very strange looking terrains to come from some of them.

Some outstanding Hi-Resolution Images from the Hubble Space craft. View the pictures, or they have very large Downloadable TIF files. So far the largest I've DL'd is 206meg. (27% so far) ;) You can DL the JPG's which are rather large also. Going to try some on Outer spheres for background, and also procedural mapping for lights. See you on the other side! ICM___
