a) Infinite variety, textures, and detail. b) They generally hold still, and don't blink just as the shutter trips. c) They do not leave fur balls in the camera bag. d) They don't whine if you take too long to set up the shot. e) If the shot doesn't turn out, they'll be back next year. f) Who could possibly not like them?

g) They come in many colors, or no color at all.

I have no idea why anyone wouldnt like them. They are all unique in their wondrous colour and detail They are wonderful photographic subjects, although I have messed up the odd shot in the stiff UK breeze now and then. I have taken to cheating a little, and take a little piece of cotton to steady them for a shot, as long as it is not tied tight and just enough to stop them waving around it does them no harm.

Lovely shots one and all :) Particularly like the sq format for the yellow one.

And every one said, 'If we only live,
We too will go to sea in a Sieve,---
To the hills of the Chankly Bore!'
Far and few, far and few, Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue, And they went to sea in a Sieve.

Very beautiful.... and so colorful.....! I really like how you concentrated on the folds of the petals in the 2nd and third images.
